DEBORAH CORTEZ

Nació en Tucumán-Argentina, pero pasó parte de su adolescencia en Lima-Perú. Ella se mudó a California en los Estados Unidos en 1998, haciendo del Área de la Bahía su hogar inicial, ahora vive y trabaja felizmente en Los Ángeles. Su trabajo teatral comenzó en Perú en 1996 con Peter Pan El Musical, seguido de La Cenicienta, donde interpretó a una de las hermanastras, Anastasia. Deborah ha trabajado en varias obras de teatro, películas y comerciales. Algunas de sus recientes obras teatrales incluyen ensamble (Doméstica Realidad), Micaela (Las Azurduy), Josefa (Convoy 31000), Lucy (Strange Ladies), Theseus (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Olivia (Twelfth Night), Jean (Dead Man Cell Phone) y más. Sus créditos en películas y cortometrajes incluyen No Quiero Verte, One Long Day, Drops of Sunshine y Drunk Theatre, entre otros. También fue Rosa en la lectura escénica de Las Azurduy de La Lengua en 2021, así como la voz oficial y narradora de nuestras radionovelas (Adiós Robinson, El Beso de la Mujer Araña). Los créditos como productora son Drunk Theatre - Bread and Butter (cortometraje) y Titus Andronicus (teatro) con Theatre Lunatico. Deborah es miembro de La Lengua Teatro en Español y MACT (Conservatorio de Teatro Mexicano Americano). Ella se graduó de The Meisner Technique Studio en SF con Jim Jarrett donde participó en el curso intensivo de 2 años de la técnica de actuación, Meisner. Y está representada por la Agencia MDT.

(ENGLISH) Deborah was born in Tucumán, Argentina, but spent part of her adolescence in Lima, Peru. She moved to California in the United States in 1998, making the Bay Area her initial home, and she now lives and works happily in Los Angeles. Her theater work began in Peru in 1996 with Peter Pan The Musical, followed by Cinderella, where she played one of her stepsisters, Anastasia. Deborah has worked on several plays, films and commercials. Some of her recent theater works include Ensamble (Doméstica Realidad) Micaela (Las Azurduy), Josefa (Convoy 31000), Lucy (Strange Ladies), Theseus (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Olivia (Twelfth Night), Jean (Dead Man Cell Phone) and more. Her film and short film credits include No Quiero Verte, One Long Day, Drops of Sunshine, and Drunk Theatre, among others. She was also Rosa in the stage reading of La Lengua’s Las Azurduy in 2021, as well as the official voice and narrator of our radio soap operas
(Adiós Robinson, El Beso de la Mujer Araña). Her producing credits are Drunk Theatre - Bread and Butter (short film) and Titus Andronicus (theater) with Theater Lunatico. Deborah is a member of La Lengua Teatro en Español and MACT (Mexican American Theater Conservatory). She graduated from The Meisner Technique Studio in SF with Jim Jarrett where she participated in the Meisner Acting Technique's 2-year intensive course.
