Hemos procesado 42 solicitudes de Estados Unidos, Brasil, Bélgica, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Guatemala y México tanto en inglés como en español y portugués, antes de llegar a les 8 finalistas.

Durante esos meses La Lengua Theater tuvo la dicha de conocer el trabajo todes estes dramaturgues. Su gran talento y pasión no hicieron nada fácil el trabajo de nuestro panel de selección. Finalmente, luego de ardua deliberación entre sus miembros (Diana Burbano, Tere Martínez, Monica Steuer, Emanuel Loarca y Virginia Blanco), presentamos a la cohorte 2026 de 'Historias de Descolonización: Edición Cambio Climático'.⁠

We have processed 42 applications from the United States, Brazil, Belgium, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Guatemala, and Mexico—in English, Spanish, and Portuguese—before narrowing the field down to 8 finalists.

During those months, La Lengua Theater had the privilege of getting to know the work of all these playwrights. Their immense talent and passion made the task of our selection panel anything but easy. Finally, after arduous deliberation among its members (Diana Burbano, Tere Martínez, Monica Steuer, Emanuel Loarca, and Virginia Blanco), we present the 2026 cohort of 'Decolonization Stories: Climate Change Edition'.
